Polytech provides a number of separators that meet a wide range of environmental requirements.
Class 1 and 2 bypass separators
Bypass separators work by separating the surface water and the pollutants. The pollutants float to the top, and the silt settles at the bottom of the tank, allowing the cleaner surface water to pass into the drainage system.
These separators would be used in all types of car parks, roads and similar low risk areas where full treatment is not required.
Class 1 and Class 2 full retention separators
These tanks work in the same way as the bypass separators, but are used in areas of higher risk, such as petrol filling stations and lorry parks.
All separators must be fitted with an alarm, in accordance with PPG3 guidelines.
